How to Winterize an RV Using the Dry Method, Cruise America
When it is consistently in freezing temperature, we need to winterized our RV's by draining all the water out the RV or adding antifreeze into the water system. The former is called the dry method and the latter is called the wet method. I called Cruise America today asking how to perform the dry method and they walked me through the four steps listed below. Be sure you have a screw driver onboard. When the water heater leaked, the troubleshooting required a screw driver as well. 1. Drain the fresh water tank. 2. Use the water pump to pump out all the remaining water. Let the water out via a faucet. 3. Drain the still remaining cold and hot water out. 4. Dump the black and gray water. I would leave the valves for steps 1 and 3 open for the night. I think that is also what I was told. In case it's not made clear in the video, after winterizing your RV, do not allow new water into the water system. So don't hook up the city water, don't fill the fresh water tank, don't use the toilet 🚽. Blog post: https://ratherelevated.blogspot.com/2...
