Our Lady of Africa Mbuya Parish Catholic Mass Today - Reading I: Hebrews 10:32-39 - Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 37:3-4, 5-6, 23-24, 39-40 - Gospel: Mark 4:26-34 - The Church Today celebrates the Memorial of St. John Bosco (1815-1888). He was born in Italy, and was the founder of the Salesian Society, named in honor of St. Francis de Sales, and of the Daughters of Mary, Help of Christians. His lifework was the welfare of young boys and girls, hence his title, "Apostle of Youth." He had no formal system or theory of education, but rather his methods centered on persuasion, authentic religiosity, and love for young people. He was an enlightened educator and innovator.
