Chai Time Masti -2 | Jeera Jowar Cookies Since many of you have been asking for tea-time snack recipes, I’m excited to continue this series! ☕✨ Here’s the second one—Jeera Jowar Cookies! These unsweetened, diabetic-friendly cookies are a great way to add millets to your diet. Enjoy them with tea or coffee, and the best part? They stay crispy for up to a month in an airtight container. Try them out and let me know how you like them! 🫶 Ingredients: • 1 cup Jowar (sorghum) flour • 1-2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) • ¼ tsp baking soda • ½ tsp salt • 2 cardamoms, crushed • 4 tbsp ghee • 2 tbsp milk (for kneading) Method: In a mixing bowl, add Jowar flour, cumin seeds, baking soda, salt, and crushed cardamom. Mix well. Add ghee and mix it into the flour until the mixture resembles a crumbly texture. When pressed together, it should hold its shape. Gradually add milk and knead into a soft dough. Roll the dough on a parchment paper or a clean board. Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter or knife. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Place the cookies on a baking tray and bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container. They stay fresh for up to one month.
