Teach 2-3 phonic sounds a day 4. 3 Games you can play to teach Phonic cards • Lay 3 cards on the floor and ask the child to jump on one phonic as you call it out • Lay 3 cards on the floor and ask the child to pick up one phonic as you call it out • Tell the child an example of a phonic card eg ‘t’ and then ask them to place the card next an item beginning with ‘t’ eg ‘tv’ pick up the ‘t’ card and place it by the tv ! Ready, Steady, Go! 5. Follow your child’s learning by blending phonic sounds and making words from 2-3 phonics your child is most familiar with.
