Training update: March 3rd 2025 #gym #gymvlog #workout #trinidad #motivation #recovery #sickness
After Thursday’s DL session in Evo, I got a fever. So I missed Friday and took the weekend off as usual. Forced to stay home but it was a good thing. Basically eased back into training today and adjusted the workload and intensities to how I felt. General tips to consider when sick: 1)Don’t go gym if you are contagious. (I wasn’t) 2)If you have mild symptoms above the neck (runny nose, cold, sinus) you can still train. Might be best to avoid sets to absolute failure and cut back on volume per session but you can pull off something decent. 3)If you have fever, body pains and aches etc, take time off to recover. Training will delay recovery and likely be unproductive. Your body probably won’t allocate resources to anabolism if you fighting an infection. 4)Eat what appetite supports, rest, hydrate and take medicine to focus on recovery. Listen to your doctor! 5)If you are on a low calorie diet, bumping to maintenance can help. In a gaining phase, force feeding while being extra sedentary might also not be the best idea. -In either sides account for being extra sedentary so you done overestimate maintenance calories. Sometimes you can’t avoid it but now you’d know how to approach it. Hope this was helpful💉💪 Like, Share & Follow for more. Meal plan, consultation, or coaching: www.varoonseepersadfitness.com
