Stefano Ricci Beyond – Steve McCurry

The legendary photographer gives us an insight of what it takes to capture an iconic image on camera. It’s about recognising a unique magical moment, where light, space, and composition align with the public’s sensitivity to create an impression that is destined to touch one’s soul and be remembered for a long time. Steve McCurry has been one of the most iconic figures in contemporary photography for more than five decades. His body of work spans conflicts, vanishing cultures, ancient traditions, and contemporary culture alike - yet always retains the human element that made his celebrated image of the Afghan Girl such a powerful image. In 2019, McCurry was inducted into the International Photography Hall of Fame, recognising his outstanding artistic contribution over the years. He recently joined the Stefano Ricci Explorer Project as the main photographer of Mission Cambodia, to shoot the campaign for the brand’s Spring Summer 2025 collection.
