Adam was given knowledge and elevated above all creatures. However, Iblees, a proud being created from fire, refused to bow down to Adam, claiming superiority over him. This act of defiance marked the beginning of a great struggle between good and evil. Iblees was cast out of Paradise, but he vowed to lead mankind astray. He approached Adam and his wife, tempting them to eat from the forbidden tree, promising them eternal life and wisdom. Despite the warning from Allah, they succumbed to the temptation. This act of disobedience led to their expulsion from Paradise. Yet, Allah’s mercy was vast. He taught Adam to seek forgiveness, and Adam repented sincerely. Allah forgave him, granting him guidance for his descendants. The story of Adam and Iblees serves as a reminder of the importance of humility, obedience, and the constant struggle against temptation.
