Marni Nixon-A Spoonful of Sugar

Marni Nixon sings a version of A Spoonful of Sugar. This is on the Disneyland LP 10 Songs from Walt Disney's Mary Poppins album and features Marni Nixon as Mary Poppins, Bill Lee as Bert, composer Richard M. Sherman doing a version of I Love To Laugh ala Ed Wynn, and Pamela Shannon as Jane Banks. It is also noted that Marni Nixon and Bill Lee were also known as Hollywood's "Ghost singers" for many actors and actresses in Hollywood. Marni Nixon, of course, did the dubbing duties for Audrey Hepburn in MY FAIR LADY, Deborah Kerr in THE KING AND I, and Natalie Wood and Rita Moreno in WEST SIDE STORY. She also contributed to the original soundtrack of MARY POPPINS as one of the barnyard animals in the "Jolly Holiday" number. Marni is brilliant in EVERYTHING she does!
