
Mary Magdalene Studies Association Conference, July 22 2021
Here are the various talks given at the recent Mary Magdalene Studies Association Conference, which took place on July 22, 2021. The speakers include: Dr Thomas Daffern, coordinator of the MMSA, sharing "13 Faces of the Magdalene"; Rosalba Nattera of the Eco-Spiritual Alliance, Italy giving an Italian perspective on Mary Magdalene as a portal towards Ancient pagan-Christian synthesis; David Lorimer of the Scientific and Medical Network and the Galileo commission talking about congruences between Gnosticism and the findings of modern science; Lee Strasburger from Lexington, Massachusetts sharing some thoughts on art and divine beauty and reading Thunder, Perfect Mind; Ella May Sophia speaking from Haworth, the Pennines, Yorkshire about her own spiritual journey and the meaning of the Holy Grail; Susie Harrison speaking from Bugarach, the Pyrenees, France about how Mary Magdalen represents for her a pathway to reconnect with the Goddess traditions of humanity; Annalisa Derr speaking from Seattle, USA about Mary Magdalen seen through the lens of Dante's poetry as representative of the contemplative soul; and Lyna Gray talking from Aix-en-Provence following a trip to the Mary Magdalene Cave at St Baume for a pilgrimage earlier that day, about some of her most recent studies on the psychological meaning of the life and work of Mary Magdalene.
