NOTES FROM THIS VIDEO: I’m going to tell you right now that just going to the GYM doesn’t work! The 1ST thing you’re going to need to do instead is… 1. Proper Nutrition: Building muscle requires adequate protein intake, as well as other important nutrients like carbohydrates and fats. YES WE EAT CARBS! Consuming calories at maintenance or above is essential for gaining muscle when lifting weights. Building muscle requires an energy surplus, which means that you need to consume more calories than you burn. I WANTED TO GAIN MUSCLE AND KEPT CALS LOW! IT DIDN’T WORK! IT WON’T WORK FOR YOU! -To maximize muscle growth, you should aim to consume a calorie surplus of around 200-500 calories per day above your maintenance level, depending on your goals and body type. 2. Resistance Training: Resistance training, such as weight lifting, is one of the most effective ways to rebuild muscle. Incorporating weights or resistance bands into your workouts can help to stimulate muscle growth. 3. Progressive Overload: To rebuild muscle, you need to challenge your muscles beyond their current capacity. This can be achieved through progressive overload, which involves gradually increasing the weight or resistance you use over time. 4. Compound Exercises: Compound exercises, such as squats, deadlifts, and pull-ups, work multiple muscle groups at once and are great for rebuilding muscle. 5. High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT): HIIT workouts involve short bursts of intense exercise followed by periods of rest. This type of training can help to increase muscle mass and improve overall fitness. 6. Get Enough Rest: Muscles need time to recover and repair after workouts. Make sure to get enough rest and avoid overtraining. 7. PREVENT INJURIES WITH Stretching and Flexibility: Incorporating stretching and flexibility exercises into your routine can help to improve mobility and range of motion, which can help to prevent injuries and improve overall performance. 8. Active Recovery: Active recovery involves engaging in low-intensity activities like walking or yoga to help promote blood flow and reduce muscle soreness. 9. Consistency: Consistency is key when it comes to rebuilding muscle. Aim to exercise regularly and consistently over time to see the best results. 10. Seek Professional Guidance: If you're new to strength training or have specific health concerns, seeking guidance from a qualified fitness professional can help ensure that your diet is on point and you won't be gaining too much weight...I do that and so much more!
