Peace - Mood Boosting Yoga Flow
Welcome to this series of short mood boosting yoga flows designed to support you in having a fabulous day! Today’s practise is designed to boost your mood in a slightly different way, by calming you down and giving you some much needed PEACE! I love this theme as peace is truly what the path of yoga is all about: moving, breathing and meditating so we can grow and change to become more peaceful inside. The flow today is one where I ask you to trust in this ancient practise: to simply be present in your body, to move and breathe in preparation for stillness and to notice how your focus, presence and awareness are the things that quiet the mind. And with a quiet mind you can feel that the peace you seek is already within. I mention a yoga sutra in the class: “Yogash chitta vritti nirodha”. It is a foundational phrase from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and can be roughly translated as "Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind”. This is yoga!! Allowing the chaos of the mind to settle, so you can feel who you truly are when you are at peace.
