Miracle Pours for Water Into Wine Scripture: John 2:11 You’ll Need: Water Into Wine How-to video Toilet paper rolls - one per child Blue and purple tissue paper Scissors Tape Markers Get Ready: Before class, cut several 3-4 inch long strips of blue and purple tissue paper. Do This: Have kids follow these steps to make the “Miracle Pours” craft: 1. Give each child a toilet paper roll, 3 strips of blue tissue paper and 3 strips of purple tissue paper. 2. Have kids tape the ends of the blue tissue paper strips inside their toilet paper roll (leaving the bulk of these three strips outside the toilet paper roll). 3. Have kids do the same thing with the purple tissue paper at the other end of the toilet paper roll. 4. Show kids how to gently stuff the long tissue paper strips into their respective ends of the toilet paper roll. 5. When stuffed, kids should be able to tip one end of the roll and “pour out” blue tissue paper for water and purple tissue paper for wine. Invite kids to decorate their toilet paper rolls to look like the jugs that were at the wedding in Cana. SAY: Jesus performed many miracles during His time on earth. Take this craft home as a reminder of Jesus’ first miracle, turning water into wine.
