Friends, in this video I am sharing with you a real incident that happened with me, in which I bought an Acer Aspire 7 A715-79G laptop on 23rd March 2025 for ₹ 60,000 on EMI. Immediately after purchase, the laptop started having battery problem. Registered a complaint on 28th March, the engineer came on 29th March, asked to discharge the charge and left. On 3rd April 2025, the engineer called and asked to submit the laptop to the service center. On 7th April, I went to Haldwani Acer Service Center and submitted the laptop there. On 9th April, the service center confirmed that there is a hardware issue and it will be DOA. Then I got a call from Acer helpline, they asked whether I would take refund or replacement. I clearly told them that I want replacement, the person calling said that it's ok, you will get a call again. Then one day later I got a call from Acer store asking if I would take refund or replacement, I asked for replacement, they said laptop is not available, you can take refund, I refused. Now here is the thing, when DOA was not approved, why was the store person talking about refund, it means that DOA would have been approved but they were not sending me the mail for it, Then I called on toll free number, they said you should first try to take DOA rather than replacement. After that I kept mailing and calling Acer support, tagged on Twitter (X), but it was just passing time. Finally on 12th April 2025 I got a mail that DOA is approved, get a replacement or refund from the store. But before going to the store I called the store as a normal customer and said I want aspire 715 79G, they said it is available, you come and you will get it right away. I called because they had already assured me that the product is not available, now I confirmed it. When I went to the store they said this model is not available, you can take the fund. I said on your call that it is available, now if you assured me then they started making excuses… Then I asked more that why are you not giving the replacement, then I was told that the price of the laptop has increased from ₹60,000 to ₹64,999. And I have to pay ₹4,999 extra. Why should I incur our loss? I got worried after hearing this, because I had given all my money, it is not my responsibility to increase the price of the company. The store owner behaved rudely and said the product is not available, take a refund. Whereas when I had called earlier as a customer, he had said that the product is available. I did a full video recording of the store, in which the owner's rudeness and lies were caught. Finally, I got so mentally disturbed that I filed a complaint on the consumer grievance portal and put all the mails together in a loop. Today even the service center people are calling to remove us from the loop. I am facing financial loss for the last 23 days, I am getting mental stress and work is going bad but replacement is not happening, the company has approved the refund or replacement, the seller does not want any loss, there is no problem if the customer suffers a loss.
