An Analysis of Joel: How His Character Arc is More Complex Than You Think

This video seeks to lay out and discuss the scenes that gives us insight as to the type of person that Joel is and outlines his moral journey as he transforms from loving father to ruthless killer. --As this is my first video, please forgive any audio mishaps haha. I know that the game has been around since 2013 and so there are a lot of theories and analyses that have been circulating for a long time so I recognize that some of the points I make in this video may be obvious to those who have been fans for a long time. Even so, I still wanted to present my thoughts on the story and on Joel's character development, because I find him so incredibly interesting. These are all my original thoughts on The Last of Us and I hope this video makes you look at Joel or other aspects of The Last of Us world, in a new way! I know there are lots of fans of the video game, so feel free to comment your thoughts on any meaningful differences between the video game and the tv show, but please no spoilers for The Last of Us part 2 (video game) or the Last of Us Season 2. This video only discusses the tv show and because only Season 1 is out so far, I don't want anyone to be spoiled for the next part of the tv show.
