The Rings of Power Season 2 || Why Did Adar and the Orcs Betrayed Sauron?

When Sauron seeks to assume leadership as the new Dark Lord after Morgoth's death, he is betrayed by Adar and the orcs in the opening moments of The Rings of Power Season 2. We learn what makes Sauron different from Morgoth and the reason the Orcs decided to turn on him in his speech. In addition to the fact that Sauron and Morgoth have different goals and aspirations, the greater attention paid to the Orcs' racial psychology is an intriguing and mostly untapped part of Middle-earth literature. The principal goal of Sauron's speech is to unite the peoples of Middle-earth under his rule by finding a power "not of the flesh, but over flesh," perhaps alluding to the Rings of Power he will create. However, Morgoth's primary objective was to create something of his own, since he was a Valar directly opposing Eru Illúvatar. As delineated in J. R. R. In Tolkien's literary works, The Silmarillion and The History of Middle-earth, he harbored resentment towards the Elves, humans, Dwarves, and the entirety of Arda, perceiving them as puppets of Illúvatar. Like Satan in the Christian scriptures, Morgoth's primary goal was to break free from God's will and pervert everything that God had made.
