Burkina Faso: barricades and burning tires in the capital as unrest continues

Barricades of burning tires set up by demonstrators block some of the major road in Burkina Faso's capital, after other protesters angry over the government's handling of the jihadist threat set fire to the headquarters of the ruling party. In a weekend fraught with tension, soldiers staged mutinies at several barracks to demand the sacking of the country's military top brass and allocation of more resources to a seven-year battle against Islamist insurgents.
