If you own the Scholar of the First Sin (SotFS) version of Dark Souls 2 you can get it VERY EARLY. You'll be overpowered in less than 10 minutes. You can also stunlock most enemies that you don't one shot. It works great against the OP NPC invaders they added in SotFS.
