Simple and delicious shrimp etouffee recipe. The color for this dish comes from the browning of the butter, onions, celery, and garlic. Ingredients: 1 stick butter 1 C diced of each, onions and celery 2 cloves diced garlic 1 to 2 lbs shrimp 1/4 tsp of each, salt, black pepper, cayenne 1 tsp Season All 2 TBS corn starch 2 C water Chopped green onion tops Brown the vegetables in butter for about 10 minutes until slightly browned. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook 2 minutes. Combine water and cornstarch in a bowl. Remove pot from flame and add the liquid, stirring constantly. Add back to flame. And cook uncovered for about 15 minutes. It will thicken as it cooks. The last couple minutes add some chopped green onion tops. Serve over rice. Enjoy...
