Zion U.C.C. - 12.24.24 - Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion - Both Services
On Tuesday evening, December 24th, Christmas Eve, at 7 PM, (at 0:40 in the video timer) the early service began with a Christmas program, "I Didn't Think It Would Happen Like This." Then the Christ Candle was lit to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Holy Communion was celebrated and everyone lit handheld candles to sing "Silent Night" and "Joy to the World" together. The Gospel Lesson was Luke 2:1-20. Then at 11:15 PM, (at 48:20 in the video) the late service began with lessons and carols, Tara Matthews Greenlee sang "The First Noel," and Pastor Karen Fraser Moore and The Reverend Laurel Alice Capesius presented an original Biblical monologue for two voices, "The Angel's Message." Holy Communion, candlelight and the carols of "Silent Night" and "Joy to the World" brought us to the first moments of Christmas!
