Rep. Royce Questions FHFA Director Mel Watt on GSE Overleverage, 1/27/2015
U.S. Representative Ed Royce (R-Fullerton) questions FHFA Director Mel Watt at a House Financial Services Committee hearing entitled “Sustainable Housing Finance: An Update from the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency” as to why Watt has directed the GSEs to fund affordable housing groups when the GSEs are overleveraged and still in the debt of taxpayers.
