Along with Easter, it quickly became one of the major celebrations in the Church Year. Its focus is the Incarnation of Christ—God’s Son coming “in the flesh.” It always included celebration of the Lord’s Supper. This is seen in the word Christmas, which is simply short for “Christ’s Mass.” Today’s service is based on the traditional liturgical order often known as “The Common Service.” It has been used in Christian Churches to celebrate Holy Communion for about seventeen centuries. Notes at the bottom of the pages within the worship folder reflect the purposeful Christmas hymns used in place fo the traditional songs fo the Common Service. — • To give to our Moncks Corner Campus: https://giv.li/1wqbfy • To give to our Summerville Campus: https://giv.li/v6sfnqt – Visit our website at www.ourbeautifulsavior.com
