Catching a Fish on a Tenkara Rod

www.TenkaraRodCo.com This short video demonstrates how to pull in a fish on a Tenkara Rod. Once you feel a fish strike, pull the rod straight up to set the hook. Once the hook is set the fish will begin to fight. Depending on the size of the fish, species, flow of the river, etc. there are many different circumstances that determine how a fish is brought in. In this video the fisherman gets the fish out of the fast water and into the slower water so it is easier to land it. Once the line is within reach, you can then pull the fish close to you and land it. Release it slowly into the water and catch another. No reel needed.
