NO CROWDS - Yosemite's Hidden Gems & Underrated Trails - Backcountry, Hiking, and Camping

Hey y'all! Welcome to another video :) Today I'm going to walk you through our Yosemite National Park Itinerary and all the things we have done there, from hikes, campgrounds, backcountry, places we ate, and much more We went from Sequoia National Park, where we had so much fun, and drove all the way to Yosemite National Park, which is located about 3 hours away from the Azalea Campground. This first hike started at the Hetch Hetchy reservoir and led us to the Rancheria Falls, which was extremely pretty. The hike was very challenging, especially because we were just starting out, and throughout the video, you will see the struggles and challenges we faced along the way. It was around 2,500ft in elevation and 13 mile loop. I said that we would never come back to the Hetch Hetchy, but after seeing other hikers' experience with this trail at different times of the year, I came to the conclusion that it would've been a much better experience if we had been there during Spring or Summer, because most of the waterfalls on the trail are due to snowmelt, so during Fall you experience the dry season, and that made our experience extremely worse than it should've been. Besides all of that, we definitely were not prepared for the hike, we did not have enough water and we should've eaten before we started our journey. But it was a great learning experience and I truly felt accomplished to have done that, because, to this day, it was the hardest thing I have done. Hiking 1,500ft in 7 miles, without enough water, no food, and at that time of the month was definitely a challenge. We went from the Hetch Hetchy area, where we did the Rancheria Falls trail and then we drove back to the Yosemite Valley, where we had the most delicious lunch ever, especially after the hike we had at Hetch Hetchy. We decided to camp in the Valley that day, mainly because we were exhausted and needed a break. That was so helpful and made us enjoy more of what the park has to offer, such as the museum, the shops, the wildlife, and the view (obviously). That afternoon, we drove to Glacier Point, because it was on our itinerary to watch sunset over there at least once during our trip, and it was a magical experience. There's definitely a reason why that spot is so popular. You should check it out if you're out there. After that, we went stargazing in the Tunnel View area. It is incredible how the sky is so different from what we're used to. You can see the Milky Way, and so many stars, and I could even capture them on my camera (pictures). The next day went from the Yosemite Valley, where we had some well deserved rest after Hetch Hetchy, and drove all the way to the Glen Aulin Trail Head, which is located about 2 hours away from where we were located. We started at the Tuolumne Meadows and led us to Glen Aulin, which was extremely pretty. The hike was very peaceful and not that challenging, especially because we were just starting out, the only struggle was that we had to rush on our way back because we slept in lol. This hike gave me faith and excitment about our future trips to the outdoors. I think this hike was incredible and every view was spectacular, it was difficult not to enjoy every single moment. I am really glad we did that and I can't wait to return to Yosemite. I’ll definitely post more conent surrounding this trip with even more information, such as our camping gear, how we got our permits, and how we planned and budget for it. I think I summed it down pretty well for you guys. Hope you guys enjoyed today's video as much we enjoyed this trip!
