Does it Add Up? A Response to Atheists on Suffering

In this video, I present a theological perspective on suffering. If you haven’t heard it before, here’s the story. 00:28 - The Consequences of Sin aka The fall of Humanity 1:25 - The Presence of Satan 2:15 - Human Responsibility 3:02 - God’s Redemption Lately, I’ve been exploring YouTube videos featuring Christopher Hitchens, but this journey started with Alex O’Connor. I initially watched his responses to Wes Huff and then saw him on Jubilee’s 25 Christians vs. 1 Atheist discussion. I began noticing that his beliefs closely align with those of Christopher Hitchens, whom John Lennox famously debated. A recurring theme in their arguments is the problem of suffering. Both O’Connor and Hitchens claim that the existence of immense suffering in the universe disproves God. However, they often overlook the beauty, wonder, and fine-tuning of the universe.
