2020 세종국악관현악단&세종국악심포니오케스트라 제 119회 정기연주회 한국문화예술위원회 창작산실 오케스트라와 작곡가 교류 협업 프로젝트 오작교프로젝트 견우와 직녀를 이어주는 다리처럼 ! 세종국악심포니오케스트라와 작곡가 백유미의 환상적인 오작교 만남! 오작교 프로젝트 - 백유미 작곡가편 3 국악심포니를 위한 '연(緣)'(개작초연) 작곡 : 백유미 지휘 : 최영선 연주 : 세종국악심포니오케스트라 일시 : 2020 10 8 목 오후 7시 30분 장소 : 군포문화예술회관 수리홀 ---------------------------------------------------------- Yoomee Baek Biography Yoomee Baek is an emerging composer from Seoul, Korea Her music draws inspiration from her life experiences, culture, and nature An eclectic composer, Baek’s current interests are with intercultural composition Fascinated by the traditional instruments and music of East Asian countries including Japan, China, and Korea, she actively composes works for the traditional instruments of these countries, and focuses especially on Korean traditional instruments Baek also continuously researches compositional approaches that merge East Asia and the West Her works have been premiered by the JACK Quartet, the NYU Contemporary Music Ensemble, and a gayageum soloist Ji-young Yi She received a Master’s degree in music composition at the Steinhardt School at New York University and earned her Bachelor’s degree with honors at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati Baek is currently pursuing a Ph D in music composition at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa where she had served as a graduate teaching assistant in the music department She has studied composition with Joel Hoffman, Michael Fiday, Youngmi Ha, Julia Wolfe, Thomas Osborne, and Donald Reid Womack She is currently in residence with the Se-Jong Korean Music Orchestra for the 2020-2021 concert season ---------------------------------------------------------- Yeon(緣) Long ago, a dream left a strong impression upon me, and I still vividly remember it The lovers in my dream were more miserable than anyone, but their love was beautiful "Yeon(緣)" is a composition based on reunions of old love, trials, inevitable fate and choices, and challenges to the new life of the two lovers in my dream The story of the lovers from the dream was depicted by applying the unique tone of Korean traditional instruments that gives oriental characteristics of musical features "Yeon(緣)" is divided into five parts, and it is expressed through various musical techniques to mix tension and relaxation - similar to a scene in a movie ---------------------------------------------------------- 1992년 박호성 前단장에 의해 창단한 세종국악관현악단은 2015년부터 새롭게 김혜성 대표가 이끌고 있으며 여민동락의 음악정신을 실현하여 국악기과 양악기가 함께 편성된 최초의 한국음악 전문오케스트라로서 새로움을 추구하고자 합니다
