Kate from #belarus introduces us to her country, #belarusian culture, #eastern #european history, and her #christian #religion. This #holiday #season, #publichealth Policy Reviews was seeking to learn more about #easterneurope, considering #russia’s tragic invasion of #ukraine in 2022. We realize that Russia and its allies like Belarus have vastly different #laws regarding #freedomofspeech and more strict cultural rules about the #gender roles of #men and #women in their societies. However, the differences between our quite diverse #cultures do not mean we should stop trying to understand each other. Perhaps we can aspire to be bold enough to imagine we can do much BETTER than the violent disasters that “Sleepy Joe Biden” and “Laughing Kamala Harris” are leaving us in Eastern Europe and the #middleeast. Thus, we asked Kate, our contributor from Belarus, to help us create a unique program that would inform us about her country and culture. We produced “Belarus Reliquary,” emphasizing her #foreign #language #academic training and #christianity. Public Health Policy Reviews hopes to make “Belarus Reliquary” a weekly program. In addition to “Summer In China” by Summer Lao, we are also planning “Angie From Albania,” as well as a project from the Middle East that is currently not yet named featuring Nazia Saeed. #merrychristmas -The PHPReviews Team… https://publichealthreview.substack.c...
