Who shall stand in his holy place? Psalm 24:3-5 Psalm 15:1-5 Psalm 2:6 / The commentary serves as a window through which we can broadly look into the text. In Psalm 15, David was already introduced as one who dwells in the tabernacle of the LORD and in his holy mountain, and he taught how those who believe in him should live. The one who stands on Mount Zion, in the holy place, is Jesus. (n Psalm 2:6) And he will say, I have installed my king upon Zion, my holy hill. n Psalm 3:4 n Psalm 15:1 n Psalm 43:3 n Psalm 99:9 n 2 Sam 5:7 n Psalm 110:2 n Prov 8:23 Jesus, who lifts up his head in Zion and hears (p. 110:2, 7), is the one who answers. When David was suffering because of Absalom's rebellion, his prayer was answered and he lifted up his head (p. 3:3, 4). When Jesus comes again, the bodies of the saints whose souls have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus (59 agoraz ἀγοράζω to go to the marketplace, to buy; Rev. 14:3 to sing a new song, saying, You have been redeemed from the earth, Rev. 14:4 from among the redeemed, as first fruits to God and to the Lamb; 5:9 for you were bought with a price; glorify God in your body, which are God's; 1 Cor. 6:20) will be redeemed and their heads will be lifted up (Luke 21:28) and they will dwell with Jesus in the holy place, Mount Zion, in heaven.
