Welcome to the celebration of the Saturday Vigil Mass for the 4th Sunday of Lent. This Sunday is known as Laetare Sunday or the Sunday to rejoice. We rejoice because we are midway to the celebration of Easter Sunday. Our reading from 2 Corinthians reminds us that God has reconciled us to himself through Christ. In our Gospel we hear of the prodigal son and how the father welcomes him back with open arms. We are invited to reflect upon our lives and see where we need to come back to the Lord with a repentant heart. All the Lord wants is to show us his mercy and love and restore us into a right relationship with him. The Responsorial Psalm is Psalm 34: "Taste and see that the Lord is good".
