Did Bran Warg Into Drogon? Is Bran Stark Evil and Daeny Wrongfully Accused?
www.joelayden.com From Reddit Posted byu/CthulhuShrugs 3 days ago Bran warg’d into Drogon During episode 5, we all watched in anticipation as Daenerys stared at the red keep with rage in her eyes before taking off toward the tower. I would assume that you, like I did, imagined her heading straight for Cersei. This is the last time we see Daenerys for the rest of the episode. Of course, things didn’t go as expected. As the city is reduced to ash, you never again get to see Daenerys’ furious face filled with madness. Perhaps because she was helplessly riding her dragon in horror. At the pivotal moment, Bran Stark warg’d into Drogon to enact destruction. Why would Bran do this? Some theories: Bran needed a way to guarantee that Westeros would never accept Dany as their leader instead of Jon. or With King’s Landing utterly destroyed, Winterfell could become the new capital. or (my favorite, however implausible) In a Watchmen-esque turn, Bran knew that history would only repeat itself if anyone took the throne. He needed a moment to show Westeros that they could not continue this cycle, to save from the countless suffering that would be sure to reoccur. With the capital destroyed, a common enemy feared by everyone, and a shared hatred of the ongoing oppressive system, this may be the most direct way for Bran to cause long-term “positive” change. Other considerations: I’ve already mentioned that you don’t see Dany’s face ever again after she allegedly goes mad. Even though Dany has been under stress, it feels implausible that she would now slaughter innocents for no reason. Dany would have begun the slaughter by killing Cersei. Bran has had a disappointingly minor impact on the story up to this point, given the degree of his powers. Also, as a producer, don’t you want him to warg a dragon at some point? If Bran warg’d into the horse that saved Arya, he must have know what was going on there, and could have at least warg’d into Drogon to end the violence. Apparently, during an interview years ago with GRR Martin, someone asked if it’s possible to warg into a dragon. He laughed and responded, “Well, we’ll just have to see about that, won’t we?” Posted byu/MustRememberAct 5 days ago Ya'll are being played - Bran warged into Drogon I'm completely serious. This episode lines up perfectly with the Bran endgame theories, and even follows my own outline that I posted three days ago very closely. The sweet part of the "bittersweet" ending will not be a fucking democracy. There is nothing sweet about that. No one gives a shit about the stupid throne or the civilians of Westeros. The sweet part will be when we learn that Dany didn't actually go mad and didn't play the part of Bran's puppet. Every event that he has manipulated has led to this: the burning of King's Landing. The moment before Drogon goes mad we see the same scene of his shadow over KL that has played so frequently in Bran's visions. Jojen told him this would end with fire. I choose to believe that his goal was to end with Dany actually going Mad Queen and she chose not to because she is good. I will believe this until I'm proven wrong. The show that has subverted expectations at every opportunity has one last act of grand deception and it has you all fooled.
