Here we will practice a common chord progression in Jazz. the ii I. There will be two bars of the A-7 (A Dorian Minor) followed by two bars of GMaj7 (G Major). Listen to the track so you can hear when the chords change and play the appropriate scale. If you notice both of the chords have the same exact key signature of 1 sharp. Enjoy making up melodies as you become more comfortable with improvising. Start simple by playing the scales up and down then moving around.
