Hagues Peak // Lawn Lake Trail // RMNP

I see the Mummy Mountains everyday on my way to work. Early visitors apparently saw a resemblance to a reclining Egyptian mummy (Must have been good weed back then), because I dont see it. The Arapahoes called them nooku-bee• ei-no which translates to “White Owls”. It is not certain who first called them the Mummies - it may have been Albert Bierstadt, who visited the area in 1876.Unique Features-Due to it’s relative remoteness and, for the most part, long approaches, the range sees fewer visitors than most areas of the Park. I started out around 5:05am and ended back just before 3pm. This hike had a lttle bit of everything.
