Michael Jackson's show taking place at "Stadium Merdeka" in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on October 27, 1996, as a part of his HIStory World Tour. What I did: Lighting correction, color correction, EQ, and I exported the video in 4K to avoid YouTube compression. My Thoughts: This is probably one of my favorite 'Billie Jean' performances of the tour. He’s very energetic, and his dancing is amazing! At 1:04, instead of the usual “picking the flowers” move, he does a variation of a move from the Motown 25 performance. I’ve never seen him do this in any other performance, and funnily enough, it’s filmed from the same angle. The “picking the flowers” move at 2:30 is really interesting too, as he adds a lot of hand gestures that I don’t usually see him do. The moonwalk is pretty good, but it could've been better. Sadly, his mic turns on very late, so I bet the vocals at the start sounded great, but we'll never know. When the mic does come on, his voice sounds a bit rough at first but gets better after a while. His raspy tone in this concert is actually really nice. He also does the “you know you ain’t” ad lib, and I absolutely love it! The breakdown is also pretty cool, especially the robot dance moves.
