Post Gospel hymn - Entrance of our Lord to the Temple - ܡܥܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ

On Feb 2nd the church celebrates the feast of "Ma'eltheh d-Moran L-hayklo" translated as the "Entrance of our Lord to the Temple". This is one of the alternate hymns given to be chanted after the reading of the Holy Gospel during the celebration of the Holy Qurbana on that feast day. This hymn is in the tune "tubayk 'eetho". As per the Beth Gazo the hymns for this feast is chanted in mode 3. The most famous hymn set to the tune of "tubayk eetho" is ܦܰܘܠܳܘܣ ܫܠܝܺܚܳܐ ܘܛܽܘܒܳܢܳܐ (പൗലോസ് ശ്ലീഹ ധന്യൻ ) chanted before the reading of the Pauline Epistle during Holy Qurbana. Usually that is chanted in mode 7. The post gospel hymn given in the Malayalam Kurbana Kramam is the translation of another alternate hymn for this feast and is not of this one. I could not find any official Malayalam or English translation of this hymn, so I have made my translation and it is: ------------ The Lord of the sacrifices went up to the temple as per the custom, with two young doves to be offered as sacrifice to Adonai* Simon received him upon his arms, and began to plead to him saying: “My Lord, let your servant depart in peace; for behold my eyes have seen your compassion, and your holy salvation, that you have prepared in the face of the nations.” -------------- Adonai is a Hebrew word borrowed to Syriac and means God. hyklo (ഹൈക്കല ) means "temple" . Today this word is used to refer to the area of the church infront of the Madbha. I have uploaded another hymn from the feast of ma'eltheh d-Moran at:    • Entrance of our Lord to the Temple - ܡܥܠܬܗ...   Also its on the feast of ma'eltheh d-moran that the church blesses the candles used in church around the altar. The Ma'de'dono ( ആണ്ടു തക്‌സാ ) gives the taksa (ക്രമം ) for the blessing of the candles that includes a haw d'malakhe at the end. However the version of the Ma'de'dono that got printed in Malankara and is popularly known as ആണ്ടു തക്‌സാ doesnot have this taksa for the blessing of candles on the feast of ma'eltheh d-moran.
