TOPIC: AM I EMBRACING EACH DAY WITH A PURPOSE AND LOVE, ALWAYS SEEKING OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT DAILY? First Reading: Isaiah 63: 16b-17, 19b; 64: 2-7 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 80: 2-3, 15-16, 18-19 Second Reading: First Corinthians 1: 3-9 Alleluia: Psalms 85: 8 Gospel: Mark 13: 33-37 The gospel today reminds us to be always vigilant and spiritually awake, for we do not know when our moments of significance will come. Sir Nicholas Winton was able to help spare many children from the horrors of the holocaust because of his sensitivity, empathy and vigilance, and because he was in the right place at the right time. Most important, he did not hesitate to embrace the call to help his fellowmen. This is the 1318th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Israel Silud as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
