First Reading: Zechariah 2: 14-17 or Revelation 11: 19a; 12: 1-6a, 10ab Responsorial Psalm: Judith 13: 18bcde, 19 Gospel: Luke 1: 26-38 or Luke 1: 39-47 Many times, the Lord will call us to do something unfamiliar to us, or inconvenient , or something we are unprepared for, but that is what Christian mission is all about. It requires us to do something beyond our imagination and capacity, so that our only recourse is to just fully trust in the Lord. When we accept God’s call to mission, we become recipients of whatever goodness, graces, and mercies we may receive along the way. Yes, there are challenges and difficulties, but our Blessed Mother Mary reminds us in her words to Juan Diego at Guadalupe: “Let not your heart be disturbed… Do not grieve nor be dismayed by anything. Am I not here, your mother?”. Our very own Mother, our Blessed Mother Mary, will accompany us through her prayers as we say yes to God’s call, and fulfill His mission. This is the 1327th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Lawrence Quintero, a member of the CFC International Council, as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
