2020 - Thirty-Eighth Annual John S. Bainbridge Moot Court Competition - Finals

KAREN PETOSKE WINS BAINBRIDGE Karen Petoske, a 2 FlexTime student, was declared the winner of the Law Center’s annual Bainbridge intramural appellate advocacy competition, defeating 2FT Margaret Goodman in the final round held on Wednesday, September 16. This was the 38th renewal of the competition, named for former Law Center Dean John S. Bainbridge, and the first to be held virtually. The finals bench was comprised of Howard Stein, managing partner of the Real Estate Practice Group at leading LI firm Certilman Balin and Chair of the Law Center Board of Governors, presiding; Derrick Robinson, Suffolk District Court/Acting County Court Judge and President, Suffolk County Bar Association; and Dorian Glover ’97, President, Nassau County Bar Association. In addition to the finalists and semifinalists 2FTs Samantha Karpman and Lindsey Zager, congratulations to these new members of the Moot Court Board, the Law Center’s elite interschool appellate advocacy team: Conor Byrnes, Rebecca Carr, Casey Chung, Jennifer Covais, Ingrid Fernandez, Amanda Pendel, Claudia Pius, Bryan Ramdat, John Reagan, Alexander Rogalsky, Michael Sugamele and Raj Telwala.
