2004 Silverado Multi Function Switch Replacement

2004 Silverado Multi Function Switch Replacement

Here is one I thought would resolve two issues at once! Turns out I was half right! Issue 1: A loud popping sound upon using the turn signal. Issue 2: Windshield wipers gone wild! Just needed a pick to aid connector removal, a T25 bit, plastic trim tool, and a 1/4 inch drive socket, wit extensions. This is a very straight forward procedure, and does not require removing the steering wheel. Be careful of the old plastic, and use the appropriate plastic trim tool, to not break it. I used two extensions, and by turning the steering wheel 90 degrees to the right, was able to sneak on in to get the lower mounting screw removed. While this replacement resolved the loud popping sound, the wipers were still wild, and I ended up having to pull the fuse to keep them off. In the next part I will repair the wipers. Getting the cover back on is a bit of a pain, but with patience, it will eventually clip back into place. Thanks for stopping by to watch, please like, subscribe, and ring the bell!
