Entrance to balloon viewing: West 72nd Street + Columbus Avenue. Little Ones? Come early: 12:00pm to 2:30pm. From 4pm-ish it’s packed! Bring cash/money for fun vendor items. Could be done in half an hour before it gets crowded. If you're a member of the American Museum of Natural History, you might be able to view from there. LEE'S TIPS FOR WATCHING THE PARADE: Some people arrive as early as 5am - 6am. There are no porta-pottys. Bring a chair + blanket. Camp on the blocks anywhere from West 76th Street all the way south on Central Park West. There are no bathrooms. There is a Starbuck's at West 73rd Street and Columbus Avenue; Lenwich at West 74th. Once you are camped out in your spot, you won’t want to move. Bring a thermos, but time your intake of the fluids to match bathroom reachability (lol). Some people bring ladders. This is at your own risk. No parking. Best thing is to take the train: C, 1,2,3. Double-check MTA.info for service updates and delays. Same fun vendors will be roaming around, so bring cash.
