Paint Lois' SIMPLE WATERCOLOR REFLECTIONS, WET IN WET Watercolour Seascape Tutorial Boat Landscape
Support Morgaine on Patreon: / morgainerose_art Support Lois on Patreon: / loisdavidsonart It's Lois here today, join me for an experimental session trying to capture the beauty of reflections from this old, worn-looking boat tied up to an old rusting jetty, an impressionistic loose watercolour painting using the wet in wet method and really simplifying the scene to create suggestions of detail rather than the detail, and focusing on a range of tonal values and foreshortening to create an interesting image. Materials: Saunders Waterford 140lb/300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper, 11" by 15"/28cms x 38cms. It is taped to my board with ordinary decorators masking tape, today I have created a smaller aperture with masking tape to suit the composition. My board is flat to start with, then at angle of about 45 degrees. I use various brushes as shown in the demo, but use any similar ones you have. My colours today are limited: burnt sienna, prussian blue, cerulean blue, cobalt blue and neutral tint. Pixabay photo link: https://pixabay.com/photos/boat-moore...
