The Truth About Exercise During Your Period!
Cramps … bloating…fat days…crying for no reason. Does that sound familiar? Every woman is differently affected by the hormonal ups and downs that happen during their cycle. But some women are extremely sensitive to it and have to deal with extreme mood swings, PMS and cravings. It’s helpful to know your cycle and to be prepared for craving attacks. Can you exercise during your period? Yes! Even if you feel like doing nothing during that time it can help in alleviating physical symptoms and change your mood. Exercise promotes the release of endorphins. These “happy hormones” may distract you from the period discomfort you’re feeling, while also combating the moodiness sometimes associated with your period or with PMSing. While you can choose whichever option you feel like doing, avoid overdoing exercises/long duration and upside-down yoga asanas. If you’re really not feeling it, don’t beat yourself up, listen to your body and chill. 😘
