CMPD investigating 2 overnight homicides
A man was shot and killed outside a home in east Charlotte early Wednesday morning, police said. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to a shooting at a home along Wenda Place, just off Idlewild Road, around 5 a.m. When officers arrived at the home, they found a man dead after he'd been shot.
