CMPD investigating homicide in University City area

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in the University City area in northeast Charlotte. The investigation is taking place just off University City Boulevard on Pavilion Boulevard, near a 7-Eleven and an Exxon. Police confirmed the investigation was underway shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. There was a large police presence at the Exxon late Tuesday night. Further details about the investigation are limited at this time. CMPD has not released any information about the victim or any potential suspects in the case.
