Christmas Eve 11pm Candlelight Service Sermon, 24 December, 2021

Join us for a contemplative candlelight service. Christmas Eve, 24 December 2021, 11pm. Tonight is a night of joy and wonder – tonight is a night of miracles. For unto us is born a saviour – and God’s promise has come into the world. For Jesus is the one who will shine the light of God’s love into the dark places that hide in shadow. Jesus is the one who will bring joy and laughter to the people and places that have for too long known the burden of lament and sorrow. Jesus is the one who will herald the coming of justice where the downtrodden have experienced oppression and despair, and bring the way of peace to those who have been afflicted with seasons of conflict and violence. Jesus is the one who will bring healing and hope into the lives of those who have been burdened with pain and brokenness. Glory to God in the highest heaven and peace on earth among those whom seek the way of love. May the Lord be with you.
