5️⃣✅ 5 ways to fix short Piriformis Syndrome 5️⃣✅ Whilst the direct cause of Piriformis Syndrome remains unknown, there are likely causes that can be associated to the injury. ✅ - Muscle spasm in the piriformis muscle, either because of irritation in the piriformis muscle itself, or irritation of a nearby structure of the hip ✅ - Tightening of the muscle, in response to injury or spasm ✅ - Swelling of the piriformis muscle, due to injury or spasm Any one or combination of the above problems can affect the piriformis muscle (that is causing the buttock pain) and may affect the sciatic nerve (causing pain, tingling, or numbness in the back of the leg) Here are a series of muscle release techniques and stretches you can use.
