TOPIC: DO WE UNDERSTAND THE MESSAGE OF GOD IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES? First Reading: First Corinthians 15: 1-8 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 19: 2-3, 4-5 Alleluia: John 14: 6b, 9c Gospel: John 14: 6-14 It is consoling to think that even Jesus’s closest friends failed to understand Him, despite them living with Jesus, eating and constantly speaking with Him, witnessing the miracles and hearing His teachings. The disciples were practically there from the beginning. Whether we like it or not, there is a little bit of Philip in all of us. But Jesus is endlessly patient. He explains again and again until we catch on. His gentle voice can speak to us in many ways: in prayer, through friends and strangers, and through the voice of conscience within ourselves. May we always find God speaking to us in the day-to-day events of our lives. And just like what He did for Isabel and Philip, may the Lord continue to speak to us through His messengers until we fully understand His holy will for us. This is the 1116th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Raymond Bucu, Head of the CFC Gateway Evangelization Programs, as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
