Procession: Matthew 21: 1-11 First Reading: Isaiah 50: 4-7 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 22: 8-9, 17-18, 19-20, 23-24 Second Reading: Philippians 2: 6-11 Verse Before the Gospel: Philippians 2: 8-9 Gospel: Matthew 26: 14 – 27: 66 or Matthew 27: 11-54 Today is Palm Sunday, also called Passion Sunday. Today, we recall Christ’s passion — the narrative on His sacrifice, suffering, and death in order to save us from our sins and give us eternal life in heaven. Palm Sunday invites us, not only for us to wave palm fronds to celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, but for us to emulate how He has conquered the world by being humble, calm, and loving despite being in excruciating pain and suffering, even to the point of death. This is the 1085th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Israel Silud as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
