Psoriasis is an auto-immune disease which affects the skin and can happen anywhere on the body. The different types of psoriasis are as follows. Plaque Psoriasis - this usually happens on the elbows, knees, lower back or the scalp. The skin becomes dry and scaly and it feels itchy. Nail Psoriasis - this affects the finger nails and toe nails. There is abnormal growth of nails and their colour changes too. Guttate Psoriasis - this generally happens either in kids or in elderly. There is a certain pathogen which aggravates this condition and this usually happens on the chest, arms or legs and there is a lot of itching. Inverse Psoriasis - usually happens on the waist or buttocks and is triggered by fungal infection. Pustular Psoriasis - there is formation of pus in the scales and patches formed due to psoriasis.
