Crime Botter: Officer couldn't avoid pedestrian, report says

The Riverside police officer who fatally struck a pedestrian on Madison Street on Mother's Day was driving 5 mph over the posted speed limit but could not have stopped in time to avoid the collision, Police Chief Sergio Diaz told a community group.
