New ministers in Boris Johnson's cabinet seen at Downing Street
In two hours of political bloodshed, Mr Johnson axed half Theresa May's Cabinet - including his Tory leadership rival Jeremy Hunt. The new premier's tactics appears to be to rebuild a Eurosceptic team from the ashes, with Sajid Javid made Chancellor, Priti Patel seemingly bound for Home Secretary and Dominic Raab for the Foreign Office. Brexiteers Penny Mordaunt - who had backed Mr Hunt - and Liam Fox, Business Secretary Greg Clark and Scottish Secretary David Mundell also went in a series of savage sackings which shocked Westminster. James Brokenshire was given the boot despite having backed Mr Johnson for the leadership, and Chris Grayling has left reportedly at his own request.
