Crater Lake - April 30, 2016 - Overnight Time Lapse
Wow! It was sure worth the 1,400 foot climb to this spot on the rim of Crater Lake at 7,650 feet, just below Garfield Peak. Thirty mph wind gusts with clouds zipping by just overhead are mesmerizing. The camera even caught the Milky Way rising around 2 a.m., Then the lake is briefly lit by the Moonrise at 4 a.m. until the sun takes over and paints the clouds with colors.
